The smell of freshly ground beans and the sight of precise baristas using scales to pull every espresso shot reflect a commitment to quality that’s hard to come by. It’s no surprise Wade calls it “the best coffee shop in the entire city,” praising the fresh-made food and impeccable coffee service.
The menu is a harmonious marriage of classic breakfast favorites and innovative coffee preparations, satisfying all cravings with style and substance. Imagine sinking your teeth into their generously sized, homemade biscuits—a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit Sandwich or the savory Sausage Egg and Cheese option are crowd-pleasers noted for their hearty, comforting flavors. For something lighter yet equally satisfying, the Avocado Egg and Cheese Biscuit or the Avocado Toast offer creamy, fresh ingredients balanced with perfectly toasted bread.
Coffee offerings at Seeds Coffee Co. - Homewood go well beyond your standard cup. Whether you’re drawn to a velvety cappuccino, their “fantastic” latte, or the invigorating Nitro Cold Brew, each sip delivers a nuanced depth of flavor that reflects the care in sourcing and roasting. James Rodgers, a local enthusiast, underscores their single origin espresso’s exceptional quality and delighted in the breakfast burrito that keeps patrons coming back for more.
Tea lovers aren’t left out either, with an impressive range including Masala Chai Lattes and a variety of loose-leaf teas such as Bergamot and Herbal Citrus. The addition of alternative milks and customizable espresso shots ensures every drink meets guests’ preferences, adding an appreciated touch of personalization.
And let’s not forget the delightful treats that round out the offerings—fluffy muffins, indulgent Chocolate and Buttermilk Doughnuts, and the unforgettable Sea Salt Cookies provide the perfect sweet companion to your drink. Lauren Parker’s praise for the yogurt and granola bowl highlights the kitchen’s dedication to wholesome, satisfying options beyond traditional coffee shop fare.
What truly elevates Seeds Coffee Co. - Homewood is the blend of exceptional product quality and warm, attentive service. Natalie Livingston noticed the bustling crowd and efficient staff that “cranked em out pretty good,” all while keeping the seating atmosphere welcoming with plenty of indoor and outdoor options. Lindy R’s affection for the less sweet, more nuanced seasonal beverages hints at a menu crafted to respect the coffee’s complexity without sacrificing approachability.

Whether you’re a dedicated coffee lover, a breakfast enthusiast, or somewhere in between, this local favorite promises a consistently exceptional experience that makes every visit memorable.
Without a doubt, the best coffee shop in the entire city. Relaxing atmosphere, fresh made food, perfect coffee, friendly service. It’s an easy 5/5 for me. The biscuits are homemade but they are very large so be prepared for that. The sausage egg and cheese was awesome. The muffin was fluffy and delicious as well. We will be back when we are in the area again.
Stopped on a road trip - great coffee ! A bit of a line but they cranked em out pretty good. Got an iced van latte, an iced mocha and egg+avocado toast. Lots of seating options inside and out and friendly staff. Loved seeing the barista use a scale for every espresso shot - I'm guessing you can trust a consistent cup here
When recommending locally-owned coffee shops to Bham visitors, this is always first on my list. First of all - highest quality coffee at all levels: from single origin espresso to fun seasonal drinks. The food menu keeps getting better and better too; pic below is my first experience of the breakfast burrito and once a month, get to chicken biscuit Saturday if you can, but get there early because they always sell out. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, and the best staff in town.
Kindest employees, fantastic yogurt and granola bowl. I was short 45 cents and they were so quick to help out. The atmosphere is unbeatable, there is always lots of people here- and for several good reasons! One of my favorites in Birmingham, if not my favorite.
Their cappuccino may be my favorite in Birmingham!! Also, I love that their seasonal beverages and flavored lattes are not too sweet!
At 07:30 they werent ready to serve any dishes with potatoes. What left to try was ok. The cream for my plain brew was sour and I had to ask for a fresh cup of coffee. The interior is spacious with plenty of seating either solo or with a group.
The coffee is SO GOOD but I wish I could get the lemon cake latte in a gallon size. The avocado toast is divine. You get a lot of fruit on the side too! And the Sriracha honey is a mussssst! (The sausage was extra, it does not come with the toast.)
